Sweet Holiday Wishes

I have another Christmas card.  This one is a case of Betsy Veldman's gorgeous card.  I love the fun cookie stamps and it was a quick and easy card to do.  I made six.

Betsy used the loop de loop border die for the top of her card and I used one from Frosted Borders.  I think it worked out well.  I, also, added a gingham strip to the inside of the card and the gingerbread man from Holiday Button Bits.

Thanks so much for coming by to look.

Tis the Season - Making Christmas Cards

It's that time again!  I always say I'm going to start Christmas cards early and every year I find myself in the same place.  It's November and I haven't even started.  The inspiration for this card came from Silke Ledlow.  You will have to scroll down her page to "Inspired by the Little Things #31 challenge" to see her gorgeous card.

I didn't want to copy everything piece by piece, so changed the colors and used a fun set by Claire Brennan called Festive Foliage instead of the poinsettias.  I mass produced this one and made 20 cards.  It was quite an undertaking since the Festive Foliage set doesn't come with dies.  I ended up with 140 pieces that had to be fussy cut.  I'm very pleased with the outcome.  If  I could change anything, I might gold emboss the music instead of the ink I used.  What do you think?

Mod Squad - Go For The Gold!

The challenge at the Mod Squad is called Go For The Gold!  I had a little free time and decided to play along.

I used a set from Gina K. Designs called Christmas Magic and made some cute tags.  This is one of the beautiful sets from their new Stamp TV kit.  I really love these cute figures.  My "go for the gold" is the Delicata Golden Glitz that I sponged on the edges of the tags.  Thanks for coming by to look!

Happy Birthday, Scott

Scott is my son and today is his birthday.  I wanted to do something special and as Scott is a tool guy, I thought a box card decorated as a tool box might fit the bill.  Of course, I had to decorate it with some balloons and candles!  Happy Birthday, Scott!

Power Poppy - Make It Move

This time at Power Poppy the Power & Spark Challenge is called Make It Move.  I'm hoping that my bookmark, since it will be moved from the front of the card, will qualify.

I used a beautiful set from Power Poppy called Potted Primroses.  Aren't the little pots adorable!  I paired it with some fun, girly pink paper.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!

I bought some cute treat bags from Walmart and filled them with candy.  I wanted to personalize them a little, so I added a tag with each of our grand kids names.  I think they will like them.

Halloween Fun

This seems so strange to post and not be associated with a team, but here goes.  This is a long post and I thank you in advance for hanging in until the end.  I have been busy making Halloween cards for my grand kids and my great-niece.  Here we go......

The first 3 were made with no pattern, just free handed with the help of some Spellbinders dies.  The patterned paper is Doodlebug Ghouls & Goodies.  The sentiments from these three are from PTI Make It Market Halloween.

These 3 were made with PTI Dress Up Dolls stamps and dies.  The first 2 are wearing clothes from the Superhero set.  The last one is wearing a dress of my design.  When I was little and played with paper dolls, I loved to make clothes for them.  Her hat is a modification of the Summer Fun beach hat.  The patterned paper is Doodlebug Ghouls and Ghosts.  The patterned paper for the 2 Superhero cards is from Heidi Grace.

Thanks so much for stopping by to look.  I appreciate all of your comments.  Have a great day!
